Cargo Air is Bulgarian cargo company succeeding the experience of the cargo brokers AVIOBROKER LTD, IKAR AIR CARGO LTD and the cargo airline: VEGA AIRLINES Ltd.

In Nov 2007, Cargo Air has become a worldwide GSA (General Sales Agent) representative of the Belarusian Airline “RUBYSTAR” and is still offering to its customers logistic services with partial or full charter flights with AN-12 and IL76.

Cargo air has sold all its freighters out of its AN-12 fleet to Russian, Belarus and Ukrainian customers. However most of the new owners of the previous AN-12 fleet still rely on the commercial expertise of Cargo Air and we can offer AN-12 charter services with smooth and full commercial control over number of carriers.

These carriers also count on the 10 years expertise which we gathered as airline with AN-12 and securing diplomatic clearances and obtaining difficult authorization all over the world as well as choosing the best and safest routing depending on the type of cargo and arranging ground handling at all airports from a network over 200 contracted agents worldwide.

In fact right now Cargo Air can choose from vast number of reliable AN-12 carriers to whom we trust and the situation is better for our customer as previously we offered only the owned by Vega Airlines AN-12’s freighter aircraft.

Belarusian Airline “RUBYSTAR” has purchased and expanded its fleet with IL-76 TD in DEC 2010, which now Cargo Air is offering to its customers under its commercial control and management.

At the end of OCT 2007 Cargo Air Ltd. has concluded purchase agreement for one B737-300 with the USA company GA TELESIS. At the beginning of NOV 2007 Cargo Air had become the sole owner of the aircraft with MSN 23237.

The EU Ops 1 / EASA modifications started in the facility of Commercial Jet, Miami, USA and under freighter STC of its affiliate company Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI). The B737-300 freighter cargo conversion has been successfully completed in APR 2008.

Cargo Air has found the freighter conversion of AEI the most exciting and versatile on the market (for full news on the project of Cargo Air for B737-300F click on the Project Boeing 737F in the upper menu).

Afterwards Cargo Air has been cooperating successfully with TNT Airways since JUL 2009 and its B737-300F has been used for almost all network destinations of TNT. Ever since Cargo Air also combined the performance of Adhoc charter operations during the weekends and the days when its free of TNT contracted work.

Cargo Air has taken decision to enlarge its fleet in SEP 2009 and after research taken decision for purchase of the next B737-300 , with serial number 23970 has been taken in NOV 2009 and the deal was concluded on 16 DEC 2009.

Cargo Air has decided to contract the cargo conversion with the STC of Aeronautical Engineers, Inc in Miami and the conversion to be completed by the its affiliate company Commercial Jet, Inc. The aircraft started maintenance in JAN 2010 and has started cargo conversion in FEB 2010 and was completed in JUL2010.

The second aircraft with registration LZ-CGP has joined the fleet and started commercial operation in JUL2010 and ever since operate commercial cargo flights.

After successful implementation of LZ-CGP in commercial operation, the aircraft was assigned to long term contract with main European integrator. Due to increasing demand for long term ACMI operations and ADHOC charters, the company management decided to start research for third B737-300 to join Cargo Air fleet.
